The following terms will help you to dive into 3D Mindmapping on welten3d.com:

3D Mindmapping: The art of displaying information in a 3D space. In comparison to conventional "flat" Mindmapping, 3D Mindmaps allow to display CROSS-RELATED TOPICS much closer to eachother.
Welt: A "Welt" is a 3D Mindmap project on welten3d.com. Create your own "Welt" right here on welten3d.com.
Node: Every Welt has a central node. It represents the main topic of the 3D Mindmap. Every other node or topic is built around the central node.
Link: Links are the lines connecting two nodes. Link descriptions can help to explain the relationships between two topics.
Tree: Every node that stems directly from the central node starts a tree. All other topics built on top of that node are part of the same tree.
Cross-Links: Cross-Links are the key to 3D Mindmapping. They connect nodes that are not directly related to eachother. Either from tree to tree; or within a tree. Remember that Cross-Links can be counterintuitive, but there are many interesting associations to be found and explained. Never hesitate to cross-link!

And there is more: Customize your Welt, choose textures for your nodes, change the color of your trees or add single nodes for later expansions of your project. Save and Load your projects to build and share them with your friends.
